In this month of July we come to a holy intersection of time that has both an end and a beginning. A great stellar pulse comes forth from our daystar the Sun straight into the heart of mankind as we slowly move forward sidestepping as many concerns as possible. On a silent morn in the steamy month of July, the star Sirius rises before the daystar, as our sun issues a solar statement to all that the “Atlantean-Egyptian-Sirius New Year” had been birthed. This energy creates a doorway of opportunity to swim forward within the stellar surge riding all the currents avoiding the riptides. The ancient Egyptians saw Sirius as reappeared at the time of the annual flooding of the Nile. Sirius known as our spiritual Sun is the heart and soul the heart and soul of our physical Sun. As early as 3000BC the Egyptians started celebrating the helical rising of the star Sirius.

In Egypt Scarabs were symbols of rebirth, resurrection, transformation, and evolution. People wore scarab amulets for good luck and protection. The bodies of the dead were adorned with scarabs ensuring they could travel safely to the afterlife. Like the dung beetle’s solar circling ball, the scarab became a symbol of birth, life, death, and resurrection. The sun was believed to die each night and be reborn each morning as a beetle. Beetles symbolize strength, good luck, creation, teamwork, revival, and adaptability. The beetle aka scarab is a reminder to accept who you are, be resolute and buoyant in all circumstances; to continue one step at a time, one thought at a time.
The Ankh is an ancient Egyptian power emblem which symbolizes the many aspects of life; physical life, eternal life, immortality, and reincarnation. The symbol is a teardrop-shaped hoop with a cross connected directly below it, to represent the sun making its path upward and over the horizon. (to me the ankh is a mirror, reflection of our true essence)The Ankh is seen as a powerful bringer of wealth and good-fortune. In Ancient Egypt the ankh was used in magical ceremonies, healing rituals and secret initiations. Egyptians believe that carrying an Ankh amulet would/will protect them from harm. The ankh was thought to have the power to ward off evil spirits.
Egyptians believed that Cats were magical beings. They thought of them as a form of ‘furry good luck’, especially black cats, believing them to be godlike, similar the Goddess Bastet. Only the Goddess Bastet had the power to become a cat. Many ancient Egyptian deities’ had cat-like (lion) heads that represented a divine connection, good health, wealth, protection, good fortune. Bastet is probably the best-known feline goddess from Egypt. Initially depicted as a lioness, Bastet assumed the image of a feline-headed woman in the 2nd millennium BCE. She combines all aspects of cat, both nurturing and forceful. Domestic cats to this day are thought to carry the divine essence of Bastet (the cat-headed goddess) All cats were protected and venerated in Egypt. Many Egyptians saw feline attributes as all-powerful, with the ability to protect their homes from evil spirits and disease.
