Ancient Australian Ancestor
Wandjina Stones
We are so totally lucky to have this group of stones grace us with their earthy presence. I fell in love with these power pieces immediately not even knowing their history or what they represent. This group is truly a treasure from Time and Australia. These stones were mined in 1960 in Queensland Australia, what a Truly WONDERFUL crystalline find that has made its way to us, over 62 years to finally find us at Gillian’s house, Wow for sure, I am honored to be part of their timely birth. These stones from Australia are called Thunder Agates they were found next to a group of what is called ‘thunder-eggs (which are of different mineral content).’ These stones are 120 million years old.
The vibrations from the land of Australia and all that is ‘ the Down Under Energy,’ has been quit loud for some time now, demanding that we connect with these sacred lands down under, in heart and knowledge. We are no longer worlds, apart but a brief virtual connection in thought and deed. These beautiful stones call themselves ‘Wandjina Stones.’
Wandjina are beings from Australian Aboriginal tradition that are depicted in rock art. Some of the artwork dates back 4,000 years ago. Wandjina images are painted on the rocks and in caves. These images are painted in ceremonial sites, repainted each decade to ensure the image was kept new and energetically activated from attention. For people near the town of Derby in Australia, Their Dreaming stories tell of the first Wandjina, who lives in the Milky Way and is the father of All Wandjinas.
The Aborigine creation legend of the WandJina speaks of only bare land in the beginning of time. There was no life on Earth—no animals, no plants, no trees and no humans. Wandjina, the Creator, brought the ancestors from within the earth, thru the seas and life began. Some of the ancestors were like men and others were like animals. According to myth it is believed that the ancestors were able to change and shape-shift becoming either man or animal. In some myths Wandjina was not one god but many gods, or spirit gods. Legends tell how Wandjina walked on Earth and created everything.
These powerful stones were birthed for this time, this energy; they have waited 62 earth years to meet you.
