Air Elementals: Slyphs & Fairies”
It was once written, “Fairies…are said to be of middle nature between Man and Angel; of intelligent fluidous Spirits, and light changeable bodies somewhat like a condensed cloud, and best seen in in the ‘tween times’. These bodies are so that they appear or disappear at pleasure. A fairy year is not a human year, and fairy time is not human time, one should be cautious when assuming any-thing about ‘fairies’.
Air Elements have a keen gift for sight, both distance and insightfulness. The AIR Element is associated with lightness and movement. Air is inescapable, it is everywhere, it is the only reason we can survive on earth. On a still day we feel listless and heavy, while on a day when soft breezes flow we feel refreshed and enlivened. The air element is associated with the east, the dawning of a new day, new beginnings and things to come.
Sylphs’ which are air elementals are seen in the movement of the fairies; they are Light of heart and nature; associated with thought, air is the playground of the fae. Sylphs’ honor humanities mental thoughts, giving them inspiration on the next breeze. They can move clouds/ change weather/ always keeping everything in motion. Sylphs’ are messengers of spirit. Whenever you breathe, you breathe with the Sylphs’
The wind spirits are some of the most receptive fae when it comes to human contact. They live in every breeze, spreading seeds and causing leaves to fall, dancing as they go. They show their invisible magic within all of nature. These elementals continually raise the ambiance of the air and help us connect with higher heavenly energies. They’re mostly invisible but they have a very calming presence, enhancing mental clarity, giving us inspiration, and lending their magic so we can see.
Air Elementals work on the etheric plane to keep us on our spiritual paths, gently guiding us towards our true selves. Their purpose is to cleanse the negative energies that may be clouding your mind and blocking your path. They blow away clouds of doubt and fear to help us see our magical abilities more clearly. Sylphs love offerings of incense, feathers. and wind-chimes, a great way to communicate their presence.
These Sylph energies come in the form of a carved onyx Fairy. Fairies are generally described as human in appearance but having elemental and magical powers. Wee fairies of one kind or another have been recorded for centuries. It is said Fairies can confuse you with their words, but know this ‘fairies cannot lie’. They dislike being told ‘thank you’ consider it condescending, instead they want something that will guarantee ‘remembrance of their deed done.’
