The ‘WHITE FEATHER’ of MA’AT
Every since I was a little girl I have always cherished the feathers I found, knowing they were magical and the angels were looking over me. I collected white feathers for decades and eventually released many of them as ‘gifts of hope’ for another. These beautiful selenite feathers come as a ‘Gift of Truth.’
The Egyptian Goddess Ma’at was charged with regulating the stars, seasons, and the actions of both mortals and gods. As a goddess, her masculine counterpart was the powerful magician of time and the Great Pyramid, Thoth; their attributes go hand in hand, heart in heart. Like Thoth, she represented DIVINE ORDER in the Universe and true spiritual justice. She was considered the goddess of order and truth, and was thought to come into existence at the very moment of Creation, having no Creator. The feather of Ma’at symbolizes Divine Truth.
Ma’at was the personification of the dynamic order of the universe, without, all of creation would perish. Her name literally, meant ‘truth’ in Egyptian. She was order, balance and justice personified. She was what was right about humanity as a goddess coming to earth. It was thought that if Ma’at didn’t exist, the universe would become chaos, once again!
The word, Ma’at implies anything that is true, ordered, and balanced. Her primary role in Ancient Egypt dealt with the ‘weighing of words’. The hieroglyphic sign for Ma’at is a feather, she is the personification of cosmic order. The gift Ma’at gave (as original creation) to the gods (liitle-g) was the ability to ‘breathe air.’ (Which shows that they were not from Earths atmosphere)
Ma’at’s feather was the measure that determined whether the soul (thought to reside in the heart) of the departed, would reach the paradise of the afterlife. The feather of Ma’at was an integral part of the Egyptian ‘Weighing of the Heart and Soul ceremony’ where the heart of the dead was weighed in the scales of justice against a white feather.
These beautiful carved selenite feathers come to gift us new teachings. Selenite is used to send messages and images via the language of Light. It has the power to conduct light-rays like fiber optics. Selenite can record information written on light rays and disperse info onto those same light rays. Selenite’s surface redirects thought-waves and sound-waves it is both a ‘Transmitter and Receiver.’
Selenite is an ancient stone that has a deep living ethereal energy. It is said to inhabit the place between light and matter. Selenite clears confusion existing at the doorway between spirit and matter. Selenite vibrates at a very high frequency too high to be seen or measured. This crystal transports Light into all things, It can actually bend pure white light. It is a ‘bridge between the spiritual and physical’. Selenite is named after the Greek Moon Goddess Selene. Selenite comes originally from ancient oceans it is a water element just as the emotions are associated with water. It has been found that Selenite has a direct effect upon balancing the emotions and It helps to remove all energy blockages in the body.
